Hi polycount, wonderful to see so much good artwork here and i thought i'd join in for once. So for the first post i thought i'd do some very quick sketches of various different styles for the turrets. The lore and thematics of League are very rich and diverse ranging from fantasy (with the jungle creatures themselves and champions like Thresh or Gnar) to more man made, almost science fiction with the idea of Hex tech machines prominent in champions like VI and HeimerDinger. Of course there is the more realistic(ish) ideas with champions like Fiora and Darius who are, for all sense and purposes, simply warriors of exceptional speed or strength.
This presents a very broad range of ideas to explore with these environmental designs but of course they also have to gel with the new summoners rift update.

Hi everyone,
At Riot Games, we have a very strong feedback culture. We pivot and make adjustments when things can be done better or are not working. In the spirit of this culture and after internal conversations with feedback from the community, we have decided to make some tweaks to the environment section of the contest. You can now choose to create the turret or the inhibitor rather than being required to create both. We want to make sure we are giving everyone enough time to create assets that you are proud of and able to finish in time for the December 19th deadline.
We are also tweaking the animation com petition and not have animators pick an established character since animating a specific character without the exact model will be difficult. We want to see solid animations that are keeping the animation style of LoL in mind when creating these ability assets.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Went through different stages with this, most of which i rubbed out aha. Time to start modelling this and designing the creep den some more.
I think the base needs some work but it may be textural. Gotta tighten up that crystal at the top but then onto the low poly
