Hey y'all
I started work on this bow yesterday and could use another's opinion/critique.
I started off with some silhouette drawings to get a feel for different bow styles. I ended up going with the recurve and then did some different versions to see if I wanted to add or take anything away.
Anatomy isn't my strong point, a critique on the bone structure would be great.
like it was scribbled on the silhouette image I'm gonna have the spine in two pieces with a wooden/metal piece where the arrow gets knocked.
My current concerns are design. Does the silhouette read well?
Also in the texture I'm thinking the winged bits on the side of the spine are gonna look like they were sawed off/ sanded. I think it'd give it some cool highlights from what would be exposed bone marrow.
I want to give the texture a theme. I was thinking a witch doctor kind of vibe but then I saw The Book of Life the other day (if you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend it) and now I'm feeling a day of the dead style would be fun.
What do you think? Thanks for commenting!

It's been a few hours since working on it and posting so a few issues I see now are in the bolt heads around the handle. The placement and quality are are terrible. Something to go back and fix.
