SOOO, I haven't started to put values in this piece yet, I just chose some colors and the lighting... That's easier for me to start with, otherwise I'll get lost in the paiting, haha.
At the moment, I don't know if the background should be darker because she's bittersweet e.e

I don't know, maybe because she don't have teeth or tongue yet?
Or is something more anatomical?
I tried to make something like a doll's mouth... Like this:
Hope you don't mind but here's a quick paintover, I'm not sure what you were planning to do with her teeth or tongue, so I just filled something in. You probably don't have to give her as much of a chin as I did if it is a style choice, but just the jawline and mouth shape was a bit off I guess.
I also squinted her right eye ever so slightly more, so it looks like the corner of her mouth is actually pushing her cheek up.

So, today I'm working on the hair/hat, and I redesigned it because I'm having problems at finding references (rito halp)
When I find good refs I try adjust the design.
