Hello guys, I would like to know what the best software for editing tiles (preferably free), I´ve downloaded the TextureMaker trial version, but it seems he is more specific to creating much I will use these textures so it would be helpful to have a hand

i use photoshop, but Gimp have the same/almost the same tools.

You should be able to achieve very good results using gimp.

Krita is a pretty good free/open source option. They recently had a Kickstarter to accelerate some features so its only going to get better.

+1 for Krita. The nice thing about it is that you can set your canvas to "wraparound mode" which lets you paint a seamless texture without any offsetting shenanigans. It also makes it really easy to preview how the texture tiles and eliminate details that make the tiling more obvious.
