I haven't been able to find anything quite like the problems I'm having with Quixel. I create a pretty basic shape in 3ds Max, export, bake out maps in xNormal, then bring them into Quixel. In the xNormal viewer things look ok, but then in Quixel I see some seams where I didn't see any before, and the main problem is my Albedo map, when I try to apply a smart material, always just ends up looking like it has random blobs of color, nothing follows the contours of my shapes. See example:
Any ideas? I feel like I'm missing something simple...

It certainly looks to be a problem with either your mesh or input maps, would you mind trying one of the sample projects located at:http://quixel.se/usermanual/quixelsuite/doku.php?id=ddo_samples
just to rule out software issues with the sute?
It looks as if you have input an Object Space Normal in your Normal slot -- this is most likely what is causing these weird issues!
