Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm here to participate on the riot polycount art contest
I will be posting my progress on here and my facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/nahnahnivek
I will be painting Ahri for this contest.
day 1
After some vast research about Ahri I've decided to come up with this piece to match her personality and it's already way past midnight.
day 2
When i woke up from my sleep on the next day, I've found several mistakes on the sketch and made some changes to it.
day 3-4
Started to paint her body in grayscale and making sure that i nail all the muscle details and so on.
day 5-6(20/10/2014 present day)
Going deeper into details on her clothes and full blast details on her hair. Made some adjustment for her face and leg to give it a better look. Also added some base tail before going to the detailing stage.
Will update more in a day or two

Still so many things needs to be fixed though
It's still not complete yet though so suggestions and critiques are most welcome to make this a better piece guys

Good job, this is looking really cool
@Jelligeth Ohh nice! Many of my friends suggested the blue eyes instead of the yellow one
@hypronost I tried to give her a little more curve instead of a stick figure type lol XD
It's mostly in the final stage of touch up, probably the effects or do you people prefer it to be clean?
Anyway enjoy the view!
I've also made some changes to the background to reduce the attention so that you guys can focus on Ahri more. Other than that, I have also added more shadows and dynamic colors to make the whole thing more "juicy" haha! XD
In general, the only advice that I could think of would be to try and keep surfaces fills as flat as possible, as it tends to convey a stronger sense of dimensionality. Here is a good example of that :

It shows that it actually doesn't take much to make a character pop out in space. I hope this could be helpful for your next pieces !
That being said, I really like the blue / red lighting you have here. Perhaps combine them?
@zephron I'll try to give it a mix between the previous version and the current tail Hopefully it wont turn out to be too rough~ Thanks for the advice guys!

blue eyes for sure, and I also suggests to rework the face for some foxy look, somehow the skin under her chin seems too thick, also the transition between nose and cheeks seems weird, it looks flat.
- but it's you piece
edit:
I should learn to just post when I am really done XD
For some reason I wasn't satisfied with it and so I might paint another piece >.> I might update a new one here
Enjoy!
