Looked up for a thread with info on this movie but i could not find one, and this movie deserves its praise for art, cute story, likable characters, a great ost by Santaolalla, and one of the few movies that gets the folklore and vibe of Mexicos tradition when it comes to music, art and look and the day of the dead. It has a flare of Curst of Monkey Island wonky style, but with way more colors. Its soo good!
Had a great time watching this, and i think this is my movie of the year. I would watch it again. Just the art alone makes up for the ticket. Its a feast of colors. Some stills.

I would avoid the trailer for spoilers, but if you must there it is. Kids around us where laughing pretty hard throughout the movie. So go watch it if you have not and come discuss it. If you have seen it did you enjoy it?

It Looked awesome!
The writing was not the best though. They also do current day songs in the mariachi style. Like playing Creep by Radiohead. That makes me cringe when movies/shows do that. So there was a lot of that.

Definitely recommend it. If you think the movie looks awesome but isn't your bag just get the art book. Tons of characters, lighting key, environment stuff, and signage/graphic design work.
I've been planning on the art book, but now I'm going to have to make that sooner. Every time I see anything from the movie I want it more.
