Hi guys, I'm new here so I'm a little nervous post my work, a friend suggested I should enter in this comp. So I've decided to draw Graves, 'cause normally I draw a lot of Lux and few other female characters but mainly Lux. So I wanted to challenge myself because I rarely draw males and a little more outside of my comfort zone.

So I've just done a few poses/ ideas of what I kind of want to with my piece, feel free to give me some tips or suggestion of poses.

Thanks Flaxor for the your input :poly121:. I did give this a long think about, even my friends I've shown it to, have said it seemed more of his kind of setting but for some reason I choosed version XD but who knows might in the end change.

more progress, been slow as usual, did some quick heavy shadow and highlights overlay to test out, still in progress rendering out his hair and face. Gotta fix the eyse a little mroe add like a billion wrinkles here and there and then his upper half will be mostly done.

I still want to keep a sitting next to tree position but I'll make the back drop more western like

Been behind on posting WIP, trying to smash through this piece as best I can. Change of of background, lots of respones from my friends. Graves is now sitting outside I guess the Saloon in more a "cowboy"/ "Western" setting.

some progress on the the backdrop, doing wood panels, gunna do them plain at first and then add all the small little nicks/ cracks and nails.

Painting metal plates, then I'm going to add some nick and dents once I finish the plates

Made some final decision on the shadow/ Light direction and finally picked one that I felt looked right.



And this is the one I have decided, I like how the tint of blue/ cool colours mix with the surrounding warm colours. To balance the set of warm colour I used, so it gives that idea of Graves sitting under the shade.
