other brands worth looking at are HP's and lenovo's workstation lines. if you're buying into workstations, make sure you factor in the support in your location - can you get spare parts/replacement machines quick if it develops aa problem?
one thing worth noting is that in my experience (used to run an IBM/now lenovo workstation but also have been exposed to HP and boxx) these things are primarily built to copy with running under load for extended times and also have to be suited for installation in server racks. which is to say the cooling is quite agressive/audible.
alternatively if this is for home use, you could look into a pre-built standard/'enthusiast'-type computer. the advantage may be that you can get a silent machine with somewhat higher specs than a workstation from a known vendor. support may be the issue though.
What brand do you prefer?

256 GB SSD
