Hello everyone, I finished my first portoflio piece. Its based on David Revoys concept art. Its missing part in between his fingers, but I decided to go without it. What do you think?
You could definitely push the texture more before you call it down. It looks like you're missing a lot of the cool details that cover the skin. Also pay attention to how shiny and wet the skin looks whereas yours looks kind of flat. The creatures eye gets lost against the skin as well, could definitely make the eye value darker.
All in all, I would consider the materials of the anatomy, the muscle definitions/folds, as well as the markings and subtle surface details. Something that helps me with the forms is picking a lightsource and thinking about how the body and muscles react to it.
I'd focus on the sculpt rather than the painting atm, that's whats really going to make or break your model.
you should be focusing on mid-large level details, Large scales, Bones, large and deep creases etc. then work your way down.
