Hello! I'm a 16yo student. my teacher told me of this and i was like... "screwww it... lets do it." still deciding on a rig. I'll probably keep this up to date..
Ok! So a quick update..... I'm pretty much decided on the proletariat rig, more than likely i'll be using the zombie brute model. I'll post some photos in a few minutes to a few days.. (i'm on my tablet)...
For those wondering about the zombie rig-
I originally contacted the studio that made the rig asking for permission and was granted it, however they have since stated that because of the fine print of the rules, they do not wish their models to be used in the contest. The rig is re-targetable to any model and they have no problem with using the rig for that purpose.
Yeah.... i was afraid of the license thing, but didn't have time to check it. thanks for telling me. i will probably do a quick model in Zbrush and then re-target the rig. As for what champion, i WAS aiming for Dr. Mundo (one of the 3 i know).
Hello! Can anyone send me a link to a good free rig with about the same size and shape of Dr. mundo? I have a few ok ones, but the Hulk has weight problems on the hands
The Groggy rig is pretty good, but the legs are really jankey.
Also the beefy and bony rigs have glitches where you can only move singular keys on the timeline in maya (it wont let you shift select multiple ones)
Thanks guys! about the beefy and bony rigs: the creator didn't orient the right foot correctly, so doing cycles is really a pain in the butt. i have stewart and i may use him, but showing body weight when its not there is a bit of pain as well.
HEllO! So I haven't been posting much, but I am working on this contest.
I'm currently doing a fast-walk kind of cycle. I'm using the layered technique. Does anyone know if i'm supposed to upload pics?
