Designs are dope and the colours are great. Have you given much thought on how you will achieve the water? I am using a waterfall in mine and am not so sure about exactly what we can do to make it work.
Pdexter, noscop, Water is a good puzzle to crack. Here's what I reckon
This is just a quick look at how I think they tackle their water effects. Judging by my observations there's no magic whatsoever just an impressive hard work. Let's start with the map first. They paint the whole landscape into textures patches (2048x2048 or less). All the grass and pavements are painted in leaving out only placeholders for structures and dens. So the water floor and depth is already painted into the landscape (like shown above or here) all they do is add at least 5-6 textures on top of it to simulate water surface. I didn't notice any optical distortions in the water so there's no normals either. That's a relief
Love the concept, great approach to handling the water as well!
I think there's more of a tapered feel to the base of the arches that creates a nice fish eye effect on the ruins that you're missing from the original concept? Maybe it's just me but I think you could stand to help force that perspective and get that super fun look.

Thanks for giving me insight on your thoughtprocess!
That's probably right. I think you can get some really cool results by approaching the problem in this manner regardless. Looking forward to seeing more, buddy! Keep up the good work!
I just want to make sure you saw this post with the update to the rules:
Hi everyone,
At Riot Games, we have a very strong feedback culture. We pivot and make adjustments when things can be done better or are not working. In the spirit of this culture and after internal conversations with feedback from the community, we have decided to make some tweaks to the environment section of the contest. You can now choose to create the turret or the inhibitor rather than being required to create both. We want to make sure we are giving everyone enough time to create assets that you are proud of and able to finish in time for the December 19th deadline.
We are also tweaking the animation com petition and not have animators pick an established character since animating a specific character without the exact model will be difficult. We want to see solid animations that are keeping the animation style of LoL in mind when creating these ability assets.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Your den design is insane!!! in a good way
Just blends with the map perfectly. If the Riot team posted this work i would just think it was theirs.
Looking really good!
