[Riot Art Contest] - Cassiopeia

Hi everyone!

For this contest i would like to do a new version of Cassiopeia. I had the idea to try her out with a traditional geisha inspired look. All feedback is much appreciated

The skin idea is very much in contrast to her personality, I like it! A pose that is more alluring/relaxed I think is more suitable than something aggressive.

Yeah I think the same, the lighting on the left has more appropriate mooding. It's looking like it's coming along really nicely, looking forward to seeing this

Loving the pose you decided to go with. It's definitely more geisha-like than some of the other, more aggressive ones.

I think it would be cool if, to emphasize her power, you had the pillar decaying where she's touching it. Like her poisonous touch was rotting/eroding the stone away

Wow, I think your WIP is my favorite one at the moment... I would definitely prefer the first lighting sketch, even though they both are really good. Can't wait to see more from you!!

I decided to extend my image a bit. I know the composition works better on the previous image, but i think this fits in better with league of legends because its the size used for the splash screens.

I am not too familiar with this character so this comment maybe pointless, but here it goes.
I think the belly button is a strange thing to have on this character. Leads to thoughts like she was in a womb during her term lake a human rather and in an egg like a reptile. I figure an egg and the reptilian idea I prefer, but I suppose the womb would be more fitting for a human-ish character

The lore behind the character is she was human and then was turned into a half snake by like a magic curse. But I do agree it seems a little awkward. The other skins/game models usually cheat the blending with some kind of waist seperator like a belt or skirt. You could just continue the snake underbelly up to the belt maybe? OR leave it. Your call

I really like the colours and rendering but I think you could push it further on the composition side. what you could do is lighten the right side slightly specially the pillar, then elongate and move the tail closer to the edge and finally add dappled lighting to the end of the tail (make it a very high value to contrast):).

Yeah this looks awesome! I agree with the jaw and neck, and I also think adding a shadow to her front/right side (left side to us) as it seems the light is coming from behind her from a back left angle (upper right to us), it'd help add more atmosphere and help her correspond more with the background (pillar she's resting on) and emphasize the green energy too

But looks incredible still, nice job!
