[size=+3]Substance Painter 1.0 is out![/size]
It's been a long and fun ride since we first started drafting what would ultimately become Substance Painter, more than 2 years ago.
I'd like to thank all of you guys for your feedback and your trust. The tool has come a long way since our first alpha almost a year ago, and this is thanks to all your remarks, complaints and rants, keep'em coming!
Of course we won't stop at 1.0 and we still got tons of new treats and crazy features in stores for Substance Painter before our world domination plans become a reality.

Just a noobish question, do I need the substance designer in my workflow to get the full potential out of Painter or is this just great as a stand alone application?
Thanks for the information, this is definitely a suite I will add to my toolset on the short term. Is it frequently used by the industry?

As a Substance Painter/Designer user I feel strong about using "Metallic".
