Rainbow Six: Siege

Hey all, not sure if many others on here have heard about the new upcoming Rainbow Six, but it looks pretty awesome! Wanted to know if anyone else was pumped for this. Played a lot of RS Vegas up until recently (its dated, but still loads of fun.)

I think they mentioned something about a multiplayer mode only so unfortunately it will be lacking in a single player campaign, still I think it'll be a blast. :thumbup: Check it out here:

Vegas is quite fun in Coop I must admit. I'm more a fan of the older Red Storm games like the original and it's expansions. Later games went a lot more, lets say...easy.

Siege does look fun, though don't know how long the destruction stuff will hold up for.

I am totally getting this, used to play a ton of rainbow.. and rainbow with destruction sounds like happiness in a bottle.

Used to stay up into the small hours on a weekend playing RS3 and Black Arrow and to a certain extent Lockdown. I wish more shooters were like these old classics, where you have to be more careful and considered in your approach as one shot and the round is over for you, no respawns!

As much as I enjoy COD and other shooters, the constant respawning and action doesnt foster tension and any degree of thinking and planning.

Yeah, now i want to play swat4 again til this comes out The last rainbow six games were more like cod. I was bored by vegas after 2 or 3 hours because there was no real tactical gameplay.

I like how in that video they have professional voice actors following a script! Why do companies have to do that? Battlefield 3 did the same with its E3 presentation. Troops moving in an orderly fashion.

Swat 4 another awesome game Rainbow six 3 and Delta Force were childhood games, the memories!

It looks like it could be fun, however I'm extremely anxious to see how that 3 minute timer works out. Seems like it'll slant gameplay toward fast and sloppy vs. well planned and executed at one's own pace.

Is there any single player campaign in this game or is it only online? That's the thing I loved about Rainbow Six since I was little. I'd be a little disappointed if there weren't

tried the alpha, wasn't for me. combat didn't feel right and it didn't seem suited to casual play, like you had to be playing with a headset and friends for it work

Rainbow six definitely is not for casual, I hope they embedded the same gameplay of the old ones, those were extremely hard and fun.

Not meant in a douchey way, but did you play the previous RS games? As Bugo rightly pointed out they've always been for a more hardcore player-base, e.g. tactical, one shot kills, etc.

I loved RS Vegas 2, such an amazing game and definitely looking forward to this one

I've played Vegas, but none of the other games. If it's supposed to be tactical, it's probably going to be great with friends but random groups suck balls.

Got the key from Ubisoft, they had signups for it awhile back

oh man, i have such fond memories of pawing over my breach strategies in the first two R6 games, and aiming for speed completions of missions. The Tony Hawk of shooters

saw johnny asked, but is there a single player strategic element to it? I have zero interest, and give zero fucks about doing this kind of thing in an MP environment.

I think it will only be MP based, which is a shame as I loved training on Vegas alone and fighting 40 enemies in total on some levels!

I was originally going to pre order but will probably just wait for reviews and see how the gameplay looks, don't have a lot of people added on PSN so I would just be joining random groups, although I heard that's not the best way to enjoy the game XD
