ive always been better at the technical side of things as opposed to designing stuff
(i just know someone is going to come on and tell me that's no excuse or something)
what i wanted to do was make a short 3d animation with it/in it about 2 persons sitting at a coffee shop conversing about something.
You're building this for an animation right? Start with the animation, what's happening in it? Are there characters? Do they tell a story?
Start there and figure out what the end result should tell the viewer. Then start working backward and define where the characters should be to appear in the framing that will best sell the moment, and then use that positioning to define the environment to best suit what needs to be where.
Unlike the real world your story is the center of the universe and everything around it must warp to support it.
