Lone Druid Halloween set criticism

Hello guys, working on a Lone Druid set, where he was possessed by the spirit of Halloween while stealing Roshan's pumpkins. Looking for some constructive criticism / opinions.

The original idea was to go for green markings on both of them but it seems that you can't change the glow color for the spirit bear and druid items.. so it has to be blue..

But aren't you a little late? Valve usually needs quite some time to get assets in and halloween is soon.

Yes but other sets appeared later like at diretide (the furion pumpkins I think), etc. And the diretide event lasts some time anyway.

Either way it looks good but Valve has cancelled Diretide this year. But, theres no reason not to make it and wait for next year's.

I feel like it's way too in-your-face Halloween-themed. Halloween themes and imagery can be cool but wrapping everything in jack-o-lanterns isn't all that visually interesting. I think if you took away the pumpkins and added something more interesting like gnarly stylized armor it could look much cooler because I do like some of the other stuff you have going on here.

i love ur style and allover idea very much.
the only crit i have is i just think it has too many pumpkins inside
as well as the bear looks too close like the original bear.

The set is based on a story like the druid and his bear are trying to avoid fighting roshan and use pumpkins (because they are in his pumpkin patch) to camouflage themselves. Having pumpkins all over is the idea. But, being Halloween night, the druid and the bear get possessed by the spirit of Halloween.

I think I can remove the pumpkins in the ultimates beard though.. but I think they would look great in portrait view (that's why they are there)

The bear chosen is a black bear because of the contrast with the bright pumpkins. Yes the black bear looks close to the basic brown bear (but that's the species).. and panda's have been used enough I think. Also we are doing that because that way we do not need new bones. Muscles are a lot more defined though, and different proportions then the original.

Sad to hear Volvo doesn't give diretide this year though..

But we’re pretty sure we won’t be able to make enough progress on the larger update if we put it down to work on Diretide – so we’ve decided that we’re not going to ship a Diretide event this year.

No diretide but it's still totally possible they could pick some Halloween-inspired singles or sets for a chest around Halloween.

you guys think there are chances of Halloween stuff getting picked after halloween ? Pretty sure last year there were halloween inspired items that got in game near christmas.. but that year there was a diretide event.

Ok so it's decided going ahed with the set, hoping that we (me, CTaKaH_MoJIOKa and RocketAlex) can get it done a few days before Halloween. Here is the lore part, most of the set is still in the works.

Wow looking awesome, only not sure about the pumpkin on druids shoulder.
For the rest can't wait how this turns out!
