Hey guys! Very excited for this competition
I've decided to go for Kill la Kill inspired look, I'll be stuffing Riven into an item inspired from the Kill la Kill anime.
I couldn't find how strict the rules are on combining themes like this but as Riot tend to take inspiration from existing IPs I assume it'll be ok... hopefully I can make the outfit enough of it's own thing that it's not a problem anyway!
Also I'm unsure whether I make the outfit as full skimpy mode or just the normal sailor uniform... hm.
...LATEST UPDATE...

Here's an update. Blocked out the proportions of the head and the body, any feedback is of course encouraged!
Do you reckon that design is the way to go? I was considering number 1 but without the shoulders, just trying to balance the mix between the two characters this design is based on.
I would think about Riven's lore and then think about what kinda school club she would be in and the make her clothes based off that theme.
That said if you really wanna stick with the main characters look then I'd go with 8 + the skirt.
I've had a little time this week to work on the clothes blockout, I think it's at a good point now to check for feedback
Isometric silhouette:
I not not really a fan of Ryoku's strap top. I think this for this character something more like Satsuki's top/bra thing would look nicer maybe.
And maybe take some elements from this too
Goldo_O: Thanks dude ^^
Skyerzz: Thanks man! I do quite like that bra/top thing, I'll have a mess around and see which I prefer best.
I actually had a look at Mako's gear whilst designing the newest outfit (that's where the gold bits and the red stars came from ) if I need to add more I'll definitely come back to her for more inspiration. Thanks again for your crits buddy, helpful as always! ^^
It already looks as if it was meant to be. Good job.
Update on where I'm at. I've been busy with other work so I haven't been able to do as much on this as I've wanted, but I've had a free weekend so got some re-topology sorted!
I should really figure out her weapon... do I just give her a scissor blade or try and figure something else out? I'd love to hear any suggestions you guys have!
EDIT: Forgot to add the tri count! She's sitting at 10,749 tris at the moment, enough spare for her weapon and then some ^^
@DKK:Yeah man, the series is one of a kind! The kind of insanity you'd expect from the makers of Gurren Lagann :P
Thanks for your input on the weapon! Perhaps the executioners blade could be Riven's ultimate weapon, like when her normal, broken sword becomes whole in the game.
@slosh + PyrZern: I should have put my polycount in the last post, my bad! She's sitting at just over 10k tris at the moment, so well within Riot's 8-15k limit with plenty left over for her weapon
Got to start on texturing so thought I'd post an update. Pretty much everything is a work in progress but I'll happily take any critique you guys have!
Lots to go!
Also, here's a bonus image for Kill La Kill fans - you guys should recognise the underwear :P
Here's an update on the texture and a 3D model(!) Just about done, just need to mess with a few colours and clean up a bit.
Let me know if anything seems off, colours that you think look could use changing or whatever - Almost everything is still workable at this stage!
Next up - The sword

I've created and textured the scissor blade and also cleaned up a few of the textures. I think she's about done, time to get down to rigging
I'll also do a pose with her ultimate sword, but for now I need sleep!
Would be funny if Sketchfab had analytics with heat maps on the most viewed parts of a model :P
@Goldo_O: Cheers dude! Haha I'd love to see those stats too
I think I'm about ready to close the book on this one, unless there's anything anyone thinks needs changing! Cheers to everyone who gave feedback throughout this project, it was much appreciated ^^

@ Hellstern - Haha thanks. Great work on Leona, also looking forward to seeing the final pics!
