Thought I would try to make a new splash of Shen's Classic skin. So here are some beginning roughs. I think I'm gonna do a few more before deciding where to go with it.

I was not having fun with Shen, so I changed the character I am doing. I probably play Lulu the most seeing how support is my preferred role.

She is a very fun character to play, so I am switching to her. Much more motivating to make a character that you spent a lot of time with.

An update. Only able to work on this when I dont have a crap load of HW to do.

Anyway, just some basic composition setup and rough values.

It's extremely hard to find time to work on this when I have a crap ton of school projects to work on. But I think I'm going to take this weekend to really hammer a lot of this out.

i like where your going with this, just a couple of crits though. the shoulder pad isnt quite in perspective kind of looks like it glued over the top of your image and you could make the sword a little more dynamic making it come more towards camera, you could also bend his torso its looking a bit static and stuck at the moment. you should google some karate poses or something for some ref and try find some flow in shens body. good luck and keep it up

Ok, as stated above in my original post, I am switching gears and dropping Shen.

I am now working on Lulu, who I've always have a blast playing with. It's far more motivating and fun to do art of a character you love to play. I played shen, but very seldom.

So here is an initial rough sketch.

I also love Lulu! Did you already decided on a theme for her? I think a "bad twin lulu" or a "what would have happend if she would have found a bad spirit and not pix"-Lulu would be fun to interpret. Just throwing the thought out there I will follow your progress, keep it up, gl and hf

hmmm...honestly, I was just doing the classic. I haven't really thought of a theme for her. I do like the whole evil twin idea. I might explore some stuff though, thanks.
