[Riot Art Contest] - Mecha Volibear

Super excited for this contest as I've been looking to make some more stylized work.
I've really been itching to do some hard-surface work again and I was really impressed with the "mecha Kha'zix" that Sam Yang created for the game. So I thought I would create a Mecha Volibear! Rwarr!
As posted adove, I am going to draw some inspiration from some awesome artists out there like Sam Yang, Fightpunch, Ben Mauro, ced66, yet still keep the design, fun and colorfull.

Thought I would update with a rough, rough zSketch of what I am starting to like.
Feeling pretty influenced by those Gundam robots. I like their shapes and some of their colors. Especially the white. As of right now the colors are super temp but I do like the white and blue. To me it sorta reads "robot polar bear", which is kinda fun.
Just experimenting but its fun to get of sense of how this bear might look in-game.
I am going to keep zSketching ideas till I figure out the design.
My only crit would be that the white bits on his face are not helping to read a bear facial shapes, at least from default view.
Looking forward to seeing more!

@Glodo_O: Thanks for the crit! I tottaly agree with you. I need to make the bear head mech-armor read more "robot" and from the distance not read like a white blurry mess.

Spent a couple hours this morning, figuring out the head. Been so busy between moving and crunching, that I'm still in the design stage. Looking forward to finalizing the look and moving onto actually modding the hi-res.
After a couple weeks I finally had some time to make a proxy mesh for sculpting. Looking forward to aggressively finishing my hi-res in the weeks to come.
Sculpted more of the face, along with the upper-body region.
Although the Legs + hands are still super rough, I changed the overall design of the lower body + legs. What do you guys think? Is it for the better?
Not sure how the inner side of the elbow joint is going to bend though, you might replace this white cylinder with a rubber joint or something.
Really cool design overall, I really wish I could see it animated!
While i enjoy the new leg design and its still very WIP, I think it need's a little more spice to make it more awesome. We shall see.

Also he reminds me of a gundam (which you could also totally use a gundam arm joint for that problem if you think you could make it look alright)
