I think he can be bulked up a bit overall. Also broaden the upper torso/shoulder area and hips and make his head a bit smaller. Take a look at this concept:
Not that you have to take it to that extreme, but I think somewhere along those lines could benefit his silhouette.
I was gone say the same, I would slim down his jaw abit too, bulk up his body abit more, the hair pieces can be moved abit forward, his forhead is way too big. You could make his shoes abit more pointy, it's gone make him look like he is faster and slicker. But looks like a nice start, keep it up.
erroldynamic: Thank you very much for your comment! You're right about the proportions, I will work on that and post an update soon.
Rambo4you: Thank you for your comment! I have moved the hair forward and made the jaw a bit less large. Thanks for pointing that out. Good idea for the shoes!
I tried to push the silhouette a bit more, changed the proportions (smaller head, shorter calf), added asymetry to the face, changed a bit the shape of the arms and legs and added more details (veins, folds etc). Let me know what you think! I'm probably going to move on the retopology soon...
Here's my lowres. It's 15K Triangles for the character and the guns. Let me know you have any suggestions how to optimize it better or make it cleaner!
Also, I was wondering if anyone has an idea what would be the best way to do the upper body.
Right now, I have to pieces, one for the cape on top of one for the torso (with some hidden polygons that I deleted).
Is it a good way to do it or would it be better for rigging and skinning to leave the complete torso beneath the cape (leave the hidden polygons) or to make these too parts in only one mesh?
Sorry for my english, I hope it's clear
I think you could still tweak the purple a bit towards a bit of a dark blue hue to make it fit with his blues. The changes you made went on the right direction.
Thank you Tom! For the colors, I went for the original colors of the skin, but I will try tweaking the purple a little bit, see how it looks! Thank you for the suggestion
