Any time I hear/see anyone say "You can't" my first response is always "you can't." Gets me in to trouble, but it's usually fun trouble...
Besides, I simply can't use 3d coat for personal reasons and I have SP. Now is as good of a time as any to find that awesome workflow! I suppose a smart first step will be to get cracking on some appropriate substances.
So, now that this has been necro'd... want to put that money where your mouth is? :poly142:
yeah substance is great, but PBR has a downside PBR have no Refractive channel so it cant do some glass material, it have a opacity channel but when u do a glass with opacity channel it seems fake, hope in the future PBR can support Refractive material with IOR
I love substance painter, but like others have said its not really set up for that art style, yet.
Challenge accepted.
(I'm just quoting you because you were the most recent person to say it, btw.)
UPDATE PLZ!
Well, I don't know about him, but I did end up creating this a while back using a combination of substance designer and painter. I Still don't think the painting was ideal, but it worked.
I've used Painter for my hand-painted stuff, it works fine for what it does. I've been mainly using just the Base Color. I still have yet to use 3D Coat, I'll eventually give that a shot some time.
