Ok here is my problem.
I dropped an item (not centered which should not be a problem...but def is for modo) and select it and want to upscale it uniformly. Problem: the Gizmo for Auto Center stays at the origin (it's set to automatic). No matter what i set, none would provoke a behaviour by which the gizmo would appear at the center of the selection to allow uniform usage. Instead i lost the item in the endlessneess of space. I don't know why this happens, annoyingly Modo uses very weird key combinations (like alt shift which changes the keyboard language). Suddenly i have Action Center Auto 3D and Action Axis Auto open as well...but they just control the shape of the Gizmo not it's behaviour.

Might want to turn down your volume first :poly121:

Thanks for the vid Repete ...
Man, once you get used to what they can do... you'll be swearing your tits off when you're in Max and can't use them.
I get the difference between component mode and item mode but neither seemed to change a thing about mz problem.
Hope to figure it since there are a lot of features in modo iam really happy about (shift+g alone is awesome).
/Edit: ok 3 Minutes into the video and iam feeling stupid for asking such a question...great video thanks
LMAO, im completely illiterate in certain area of Modo like materials, action center and pivots. This is probably because of all the apps i've been studying over the years, if i can model to a satisfying level in a package i have a tendency to lay back and not move.
That is a Windows shortcut lol. I like the default navigation a lot when I'm using a tablet, but you can select to a more familiar navigation by changing it in the preferences menu.
Actually I can't model properly without action centers anymore and that's why Max with all its good stuff is still PITA for me.
I think this script may ease the pain but there is no way to try it. Still it will be better than the default setup - [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1SxYM1Ei3o"]miauu's Align Working Pivot - YouTube[/ame]
