Hey, does anyone have any good tutorials for UV mapping?
All the ones I have watched have been too complex or not well made, I can't seem to find any good ones.
I know some of the basics, however I just can't seem to get it right.
are you looking for tutorials for a specific application? or more along the lines of a tutorial on how to UV map a head or body compared to something hard surface?
there are a few things to think about here. Either you need some tutorials on the tools for a specific app on how to actually cut and organize shells. Or you're looking for more theory based tutorials on how to properly UV and layout a game specific asset which involves efficiently laying everything out
I am using 3ds max, I just need to know the basics. Like how to properly UV a square so that it opens as a net, or mapping faces so they are in the right proportions.
For example, sometimes I will map a face and it will be too thin compared to the real face.
I know the theory behind it (I think) I just need some good videos to help me put it into practice in max.
