Armalite AR-18 WIP

Hey everyone, I'm currently working on the Armalite AR-18 that was used in The Terminator. I wanted the model to be as close to the version that was in the film. So far this is the progress that I've made before I work on the High Poly version and bake my maps. If you need anymore renders/screencaps, I'll be happy to provide those for you.

Cool gun choice, model's definitely recognizable. You may want to bulk up the smaller parts, like the charging handle and fire selector, they all look a little flimsy.

Here are some close up screencaps on the receiver part. Based on the reference photos I found the AR-18 has a smaller select fire switch and a larger one.

this AR variant was one of the first rifles I'd cut my teeth on as a HS modeler, if nothing else it'll definitely be a character building exercise 🤟
