what does this mean?
It says there's an ngon in my model yet I have checked and quadified it multiple times and xnormal refuses to bake maps. What do?

Sounds like you might have degenerate polygons, like 2 point polygons or maybe a polygon the same vert twice (or ngons). I'm not sure what quadrify will do for those.

I deleted extra vertices, welded everything and checked 3 times. I dont understand.

Maybe try triangulating rather than quadrangulating? You'll have a triangle mesh for your target engine anyway.
