1) Maya LT has Target/Sources slots but not Envelope Surfaces slot as far as I know. So guys how do you bake normal maps with complicated geometry in LT?
2) Maya Suit has Envelope Surfaces option. But it's not working for me. When I`m adding custom envelope mesh to this slot it doesn't effect to the baking process at all. :shifty:
Maybe I'm doing this wrong but there are no tutorials about this option and even there is no information about this in documentation.

Make sure the envelope surface is enveloping, try naming each of your object(high, low and cage) since sometimes Turtle flip flops them around.
If none of that works I would try using Mental Ray to bake the maps using the Transfer Maps options. Just make sure to set Display to Both otherwise you won't be able to see the envelope surface.
it is a comfort way to work in pipeline.
As regards the mental ray - it's a broken tool for baking maps as before. Not a good way at all.
If it would be ok then there will be no sense in using other software for baking purposes.
