Low Poly Asset Test

Hello everyone! I haven't really done much modeling or texturing in a loooong time. So I made a bunch of models and am in the process of unwrapping and texturing them.

These are all done in a Wow-esque fashion. I will post more as I go. Any C & C is welcome! Thanks for taking the time to look.

Below: A worn old stool and an Alliance ammo crate.

I think your textures are good, they have a nice style to them, but if you are going for WoW style I think you are bit off the mark. WoW style is big chunky detail in both the model and texture, and both of these props are lacking that. They are kind of leaning a bit more towards boarderlands style, minus the heavy line work to be honest.

At least some of WoW's chunkiness is dictated not by artistic style but by the limits of the engine, so I wouldn't get too caught up on that.

The original art was for an RTS, and this also forced them to make details over-the-top so they'd be recognizable on a small model.

The color of the ammo crate, however, is a bit odd. I'd expect either bare wood or the standard blue & gold alliance scheme.

    Thanks guys!

BARDLER - Thanks. I will see about altering the models more as I go and paying closer attention to the chunkiness of the models. I will get more style ref and try to adhere more towards it.

DWalker - Thank you. I didn't think about the color so much. I initially set out with the WoW style as a loose guide and was just going with the flow. The alliance icon and dwarven writing were just a spur of a moment idea... but with your comment I may take some time and make a better pre pro document of what I want out of this.

lotet - It says ammunition. At least that's what I spelled from an alphabet I found online.
