I'm usually playing some soccer to get some exercise and lately I've been into making tutorial content. It isn't something I would generally do, but I've been having a good time doing it.
That's a lot of it for me as well. It's hard to stay on top of everything that's going on in 3D art these days and unless you put in personal time on it, you're going to get behind very quickly.
hah, what is that thing called, I'd love to mod it! I might have to start a P&P thread for my keytar, I plan on 3d printing some custom buttons as well as molding & casting some parts in clear resin so I can light them up with LEDs (that are driven by a color organ). Craziest of all, I want an opalescent white paint job with carbon fiber vinyl wraps on the kneck & some accent pieces. This will probably end up being a $500+ kids toy.
Last weekend was fun get off work on friday and go straight to the gym. Girlfriend on night shift in the ER so i used the time to work on personal work. On saturday went apple picking and on sunday nice litle dinner with familly.
Weekends are my time to relax, I work my full-time job Mon-Fri plus personal projects almost always after work. Sometimes I'll dip into personal work on the weekend but I like to keep it pretty chill.
To the users advising it is a bad lifestyle choice to be sitting in front of a computer screen for 12+ hours a day - try balancing your day out. Waking up and getting a half hour of exercise in the morning will make a huge difference before a long haul.
It's pretty fresh to necro tbh ;P
You wanna wait till it's long dead, that's when it's good and ripe... Creeper.jpg
Personally I prefer to relax at the weekends or I'd burn out. If I do personal stuff it's during the week, Friday evenings I binge on games with friends since I rarely play during the week. Then Saturday chill for the day refresh the brain with non work related things and binge on booze for the night And Sunday I binge on sleep, ready to start all over for the new work week.
Weekend, I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy Ill put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
sunday through friday crappy manual labor job, so like 4-5 hours of art each day(and all day if i don't have work:P).. and saturday for fun/movies/games hanging out etc....really miss spending all day just doing art, feel so left behind like i'll never catch up .

Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
Lately been working on personal/portfolio stuff, mainly on Saturdays since my wife works that day. Sundays make an awesome breakfast, run errands if needed, lounge/be lazy. Usually have some tasty beers in there somewhere, mainly on Friday eve.

In reality most weekends are spent during the day with the kids while wife works or has a chance to do some art work, so its Museums (London has lots of free Museums), kids Adventure places, park, shopping that sort of thing or doing DIY (just smashed the old leaky conservatory down two months ago and putting up two floor section of building, tonights bath I was looking at cold roof tiles thinking to plaster board tomorrow or not)
Evenings, I try to go to the gym followed by currently getting a research lab off the ground (G+VERL) which officially kicks of this month so I have to present an amazing paper for the 16th Jan, UE4 projects when I can, helped some graduates with a Redbull UE4 VR project recently which was super cool.
Research projects ongoing can cut into my evening weekend session depending on deadlines, Currently looking into discarded Russian nuclear submarines on the sea bed leaking nuclear waste, visualized with acoustic sound data which has made supper dense mesh data so even flakes of rust show up which is great for baking. Then there is sliced scanned data from a distant nebular for the astronomy department so I am trying to make that look cool in UE4, also got a medical project on the side which a publisher in Cambridge has invited me to talk to them about so that could be exciting, I will try and get this all up on a thread soon.
And then my job hence the 3am posts far to much of the time, Marking, Lesson Preparing, Learning software, studying for various teaching related qualifications, keeping websites up to date 3dhit, UHAnimation , UHAnimation Facebook organizing pro talks for Wednesdays also got Wayne Robson coming in for a weeks Master Class this month which I am supper pumped about, Master Classes in the evenings open to public so come along to the next one (www.daconference.com), Emails lots of them! And when this is done I like to open on going portfolio piece (you thought I was going to say bottle of wine I wish) and dream about the day I will start a Polycount work thread, I finish my current Thesis in June 2015 so I can feel it in my old Games Veteran bones and give you cats a run for your money in the next competition 8)
Friday night - Either go out to a restaurant, play some games, maybe watch movies or perhaps go clubbing/socialise. This is a great night to relax. I make sure I'm in bed by 12pm.
Saturday - Most the time I can't wait to get started on my personal art project so up at 8am. Depends how I feel, normally work on this through to 12pm or perhaps until 3/4pm if I'm really enthusiastic. A lot of the time I have to mix this up with housework - yuck. I try get in 8 hours art on the weekends though just because a. I want to b. I don't want my skills getting rusty c. I want to be the best artist I can be
Saturday night - repeat Friday night
Sunday - Sometimes one day a weekend is taken up seeing family or friends. If not same as Sunday. I don't tend to do more than 8 hours art so will just chill out otherwise. And then on Sunday evening I make a roast dinner I love to cook.
