Hey, guys. I've been given a scene from my contractor containing a duffel bag of sorts. The sides are hidden so he wants it opened without the sides. Imagine a fly trap opening up or something like that.
The problem is, the mesh is too dense, containing high poly zipper teeth, threading and straps (separate meshes) so I'm having a hard time getting them to open with regular skinning.
Is there a modifier in Max that could help or any other way going about this.
I brought it into to ZBrush and I was able to open it up with masking and polygrouping but when I import them into Max, it just freezes from the density of the mesh when trying to separate them. I need the meshes separated to reassign the materials from the original scene.
Any ideas?
I can't really post the scene file here because of NDA. I'll try to provide what I can.
