I wanted some robots to play around with in Unreal Engine 4, so I figured I would make some.
I'm pretty terrible at texturing, and don't have much high poly experience, so any tips/tricks/secret voodoo magic is more than welcome.
Ive decided four is the right number of robots to have. I have created them in 3ds Max, am fairly happy with the low poly meshes, and unwrapping. Left to my own devices I will probably start on high poly models soon.
Please note, these are based off of other peoples art, so I can hardly take much creative credit.
Hooray for images and sketchfab links!
Here is the set of four, standing next to each other, for a sense of scale, both physical and texture resolution wise.

I plan on textures for these ranging between 1024x1024 for the smallest, and 2048x2048 for the largest. In general large details are unique on the UVW layout, with small details often mirrored. The awesome was a pain in the ass to unwrap, the others weren't too time consuming.
Please let me know what you think.

And I'd wager such popular designs have lots of art love already.
