Started messing with particle effect idea for the Rubick king mask.
Also, the size of the mask would probably require a new animation or shoulderpiece, which I was painting here:
Also a more refined one. Taking off after #6, this set goes for a more of a Transylvania look. So far it's my favorite, and most put together of all the sets.
I have to admit the first thing I thought of when I saw the rubick face by itself was wraith king. Those two are very similar and you might want to be sure you arent overstepping the boundaries between heroes. I like walking a fine line between heroes because I think it can really change a hero's image while still staying very recognisable within the game style but just be careful you dont overdo it Perhaps in 3D the mask will look a lot less like wraith king tho, but watch out for portrait view still
Yeah I was warned about that, and I did notice the similarity myself after that. He actually used to look even more like Wraith King, as you can see from my previous sketches!
If it's deemed he looks too much like WK, we can always change it.
Working more on the Leshrac set. I wanted an image of cosmic power welling from within him, and since he's quite attuned to the world around him I thought magma and lava would be nice visual inspirations.

I might have to change the shoulders into beads. They're a bit too warrior-y.
Someone also pointed out that Doom's face is covered in the Chinese version! I'll have to change the face into a mask.
