How to move a material/group into another group?

In DDO, I can't seem to figure out how to move a material or a group into another (in other words, the behavior I'd expect from dragging a material onto a group) - I can select the two and click the group button but that just puts them both into a new group which is not what I want.
On the same subject, I also can't seem to figure out how to move a material out of a group either - again, I can alt-click the group button to ungroup a whole group, but I can't move anything out individually.
Obviously I can move them around in PS but then I'd have to do that for every texture map... does anyone know how to do this natively?

As you have already noticed the grouping/ungrouping of materials is a little clunky, it will be given an overhaul in coming releases, sorry for any inconvenience!
nothing change in the last release ?
