The rotating turbine blades on my vehicle model contain a shadow that spins with them, but it is only visible in Unity. As far as I can tell, the shadow is not present in the texture itself, so I am wondering if it is related to a Unity setting.
At first I thought the shadow was due to the ambient occlusion that I had baked into the diffuse texture, but I went back and re-baked the turbine AO separately from the rest of the ship and the shadows are still there. Additionally, if the shadows were part of the ambient occlusion they should show up outside of Unity. I did a test render in Marmoset Toolbag with just the turbine model and the shadow is not there, which suggests the AO is not the cause.
