Been working on this one for a minute.

I am not terribly pleased with this one. I am still working on becoming more comfortable with digital painting. None the less, it represents a small step foreword for me, though I question the professionalism of the render.

Total Time about 2.25 hrs. Line work done in BlackInk, greyscale in Photoshop.

I feel guilty about using Black Ink, but have found it far more natural feeling for line work.

this sketch is from a couple months ago. It belongs an idea I shelved a little while back - hope to dust it off sometime later. Directly inspired by Lucas Arts "The Dig" - especially the communicator design, or lack there of. 20min sketch, Photoshop.

Your sense of composition and your modeling skills are really good. Overall your 3D work seems quite advanced. I would encourage you to have the same degree of patience you obviously have with your 3D work on your 2D work even if you aren't "feeling it" if you know what I mean. Also I really like your texture work on your 3D models.
