Some of you probably have a certain go-to playlist/artist/song while doing your thing, something to evoke a mood that inspires you! Thought it would be cool to post.
For me, when sculpting, it's some great acoustic stuff from Gustavo Santaolalla and Johann Johannsson (what a name).
Regarding this, is it accepted to listen to music while you work in a studio? It would be hard enough to work fully clothed for me, let alone without music :P
Mostly soundtrack stuff, but not your traditional blockbuster soundtrack music. Alot of ghibli in here, which has just as much soul as the animation! I haven't updated this in a while... :poly122:
Any good when meaning to get it? Also I really recommend the mote in gods eye and its follow up the gripping hand if you haven't already. Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle at their very best.

Not heard about that one before I'll check that out after I'm done. I've got Larry Niven's Ringworld as well but I've not got round to that yet.
About Lucifers Hammer, its a really long audiobook well over 20+ hours. Its slow going at first but once the comet lands the way he's describing whats happening to the environment and each of the characters really sucks you in. The only downside, I think because there is quite a lot going on I often lose track of whose who and their background etc. Also I'd try a sample at first because I don't know if the narrator will be everyones cup of tea.
On a side note, best audiobook I've listened to so far is Dan Simmons - Hyperion, each of the main characters has a distinctive accent/voice and story line's are great as well.

I feel like many of their songs would make some great sculpting time lapses.
