So when i saw this competition it peaked my interest. Especially since this game has provided hours of fun and head chopping stress relief,so I decided to give it a go, don't think I stand much of a chance but man would it be fun to see my little creation banging heads in ,in game.
So what I decided to do is a version of the Warhammer which was a favorite of the Polish mounted Dragoons called a Horseman's Pick. It was a dense weapon used to dismount other riders and if one swung hard enough, when lodged into armor it could get so stuck it made the retrieval of this weapon almost impossible.I can see this as a heavier/deadlier version of the Warhammer. Stylewise i decided to not stray into the the fantasy style too much so it looks like a weapon that will blend in well with the rest.
Gotten quite a bit done already so here is an ingame of the weapon compared to the regular Warhammer.

Thank you. It was a bit of a quick job but it came out alright. Think I'm going to make a sword for the competition next . Something a little more challenging.
good job working through the technical issues you were having.
Thank you and good find, ill give it another go tonight and add those to the normals and diffuse.
Thank you,it was a blast to make it,originally I didn't think I would have time, but when I realized I did I jumped right into it. I really wish I could see it in game and in action, smashing a few heads in.
Thank you very much,im very happy to hear that. Thats exactly the look I was going for,so nice to see I didnt stray from that goal.
How did you manage to get the character to pose with it?
You need to find a player model within the editor that has a skeletal mesh, within that you can load various animations related to the type of weapon you choose which will provide the pose. Then within the socket manager, you find the node that places the weapon and then slect your weapon from the asset browser.
Nice! I was also wondering that so this will come in handy!
