Hi 1011! Sadly, my animation skillz are non-existent. I shall be posing him though!
I keep forgetting I started this thread. Have moved house and back to working on the portfolio. Finished texture for base model today, now I can properly play dress-up the alien.
I have to say, you nailed his silhouette haha... I watch American Dad a lot so this piece struck my interest quite quickly xD... My only critiques are that Roger's a natural dick... so his face is probably best depicted as resting bitch face haha... also that your skin's looking really flat and I feel like you have a good opportunitys to play or experiment with shaders (SSS) to achieve a new general idea for building Roger in 3D. But again just a personal opinion Keep it up!
Hi Angry!
Thanks for your comments! As for the Shader, great idea, however I am trying to keep him as a low poly game model and accurate to the cartoon (so "flat" colouring as much as poss and atm only have access to Marmoset 1 for rendering - it would be a great thing tho to try and make him realistic!
Another fab character! Scott Bingington! Currently making a low poly version of his fabulous hair.
(I have made the tearjerker model too but broke him and am building up the impetus to fix him again)
Aaand onto no 3! I just got my sticky paws on the Marmoset Toolbag 2 demo, so am attempting to actually do presentation pics of at least 4 models that are finished and simply awaiting a bit of glamor… perhaps by this weekend.
Thanks guys! And Fullsynch: Quit it! I have already picked out the six Rogers I want to do, stop reminding me of moooore!
Oh yeah, and I have been told that Tearjerker is missing his hair. I used the wrong base texture and didn't notice. D'oh! Will be updated.
So I started a new course a couple of days ago - totally excited, however it does mean that my personal projects are on the backburner... but I managed to wrap up on my second Roger model – Scotch Bingington! One of the best episodes by far…
I am still working on this project, just got a bit sidetracked because I am more interested in environment modelling and have been studying that recently... however, I also wanted to learn 3dCoat and figured Roger was a good place to start. Have finished Rogers McFreely! This is the unlit version, final presentation to follow...

@James - that's exactly the plan!

Found out today this character is NOT Scott Bingington, it is in fact SCOTCH Bingington, which is even better.
Zbrush Transpose Master is my enemy. This is the third time posing him without it doing some really weird stuff to me. We are not friends.
Tearjerker!
*gasp* haylaaaay
Good stuff so far, tearjerker could use that faint hairline.
