Oh wow. This is close to being the best photorealistic attempt I have seen in a very long time. The skin seems a bit too 'clean', almost like makeup has been applied. A bit more exaggeration with some of the pore details could help.
The hair looks fantastic, even under close examination, good going with this!
I actually subconsciously felt the skin is a bit off, but my conscious mind was like "No way! He's put up a picture of himself. It's not possible to b... Holy what the! That's amazing!!"
I got really confused for a few seconds as to whether the top was the model or ref so great job! (Especially the eyelids/inner pink part/there go's my vocabulary, I think that part really sells it)
Closer inspection of the t-shirt texture gave it away though, it's a bit cg blurry/lint looks like it would only from a photograph
Thank you guys for the kind words! I've being waiting so long to be able to show this.
There are other renders I made, but I could only get permission to show this one, and for my company is a VERY RARE event.
The skin looks too even in terms of spec and tonation.
He frowns, that presses bloodvessels in the skin, making areas appear paler or more reddish.
The lips feel detached. Might be due the beard?
Eyes kill it.
The iris is too datached from the eyball.
If you hide that area, you´d buy it.
Event if people nail skin and eyes, cg rendered hair is always a give away.
Hmm this looks really good, but something is really off about it. The skin looks kinda waxy, especially on the wrinkled forehead area just above the nose. Looks kinda like he's wearing makeup which really throws it off. The skin looks more realistic when you have a lot of specularity such as on the glancing angles (ie, the sides of the face), but when viewed head on it looks a little unrealistic.
Also as somebody else mentioned, the shirt looks kinda fake, almost like it's not clinging to his skin properly.
One more thing, something looks off about the eyes too... They almost look too shiny/glossy?
Hair looks amazing though, very realistic! Good job

This is superb work.
I have to agreed with that argument that the skin is too perfect and the eyes are looking somehow too much cg but overall it´s just spot on!
