This looks interesting -- it was the basis of a very well received talk at GDC this year, it was put together by Joshua Howard, who used to run Microsoft's casual gaming studio (among other things).
The "THUD" is a freely available toolkit for managers and employees that provides a framework to establish clear expectations of career development.
It breaks down game industry jobs by hierarchy and area, including very comprehensive lists of the skills and other attributes expected at each level. Game art jobs info starts on p. 17.
