Hey polycounters. So I just started working on the texture for my current model that I'm doing for portfolio work. It's a model based off a character from the manga 'Berserk'.
I need some tips and tricks for hand-painting my model in Mudbox as it's my first time handpainting in Mudbox. I already started a bit with a base color (the purpleish that is on most of the model, some warmth/redness in the skin and I also started a bit on the face and mouth below the face.
I could use some tips and tricks or ideas for what I need to think about painting, like different nuances of color in the skin like redness. I'm also a bit blank on what I should add in detail other than just plain base color as the character from the series itself is quite plain looking in the texture. (Not sure if I'm allowed to post pictures from the manga itself to help you understand).
This is what I have done so far:
(There is a normal map on the lowpoly).
