Could of swore I read somewhere that the helmet needs to have the inside modeled...but I can't seem to find it again to make sure. Is that true? If so could I see the inside wireframe of someones helmet so I can see what to shoot for.
Is the helmet supposed to be that tall? The eye holes seem a bit high for the head. Unless you're looking to do like cloth or something for that area that is hanging low.
It does look a bit tall but I do have the helmet leveled off right where his neck ends. I'll have to see how it looks on the full character model. Gotta make sure it isn't clipping into the body but it also shouldn't have his neck exposed!
Was only able to work on it a bit today. Made it a little shorter and added studs. I like to do most of my high poly work in Maya because I'm not too comfortable with zbrush as far as adding scratches/chips and what not. I gotta work long shifts the next 3 nights so I'll see you guys tuesday. Cant wait to see everyone's progress!
edit I forgot to smooth before rendering, crap ^^^^

Current helmets ingame
I like the greek helmet on the bottom left. I think something with kind of mean looking eye slots would be cool
Excited to see how this turns out!
Day 1.5
They don't support double sided materials. So there will need to be geometry on both sides of something you will see.
