I'll breakdown my critique into dot points:
- scratch details are looking good.
- Some of your normals are to big (Bigger details on the brown but smaller on the red)
- Its appears to be a red painted barrel so I assume the brown is rust? but it does not look like rust and seems your relying to much on your normals for your surface details. Most of your surface details should be in the diffuse and you use the normals to help impact on the depth of the object or surface.
For a model like this I would suggest getting some photo sourced textures such as Painted metal, rusty metal and Oily metal and start masking areas you like and making a detailed diffuse. Then work with your spec and gloss to make sure your getting sharper gloss & spec on your painted and scratched areas and less on your rusty areas.
Hope this helps, looking good but could use some extra love to make it look amazing!
