All new primitives have their normals reversed in maya.

My .ma file so far was fine and I have modeled most of my character, but now any primitive I make, has its normals rversed (so primitive is formed in black color). Why is that and how do I fix this, pls?

Edit - i mean i could always reverse normals but its a pain to do it for every primitive I make and I dont want any issues down the line. So need to find why this is happening.
