Hi all
I'm getting this a lot, and it's very annoying - in 3DS Max 2014 x64.
I use 'Convert To Editable Poly' and sometimes accidentally click on 'Convert To Deformable GPoly'.
It looks like it was untested as it crashes Max evertime - is this a problem on everyone's Max or just mine. It is very frustrating as I can't be using autosave every minute, and the file recovery is equally useless (it crashes loading it back up).
I've reported this everytime it happens to Autodesk, so we may see a fix this side of 2015 (the year) (or maybe not).

EDIT:
Having a quick look around the ol' web, it does seem very buggy and unstable. Some people have gotten better results with video card driver updates, I'm not sure how this effects things so it may or may not be related. I don't think gpoly actually does anything specific with the graphics card but I could be wrong.
Either way I would avoid it at all costs. The rewards don't seem to outweight the risks. Monsters suggestion of removing it from the quad menu sounds like solid advice.
We can't use the latest service packs because all versions of Max have to be 'in sync' in work (plug-ins etc).

It's a pity the customize menu takes over a minute to appear in this version.
