Hi! I'm working on a project requiring a couple of low-poly characters (PS1-PSP-PS2 complexity) and I'd love to get some critique - but the Polycount wip threads are packed with extraordinary, developed talent. I'm honestly unsure if it's appropriate to post my work there!
If I'm advised to submit my extremely humble work to the 3D wip thread, well, I'd be delighted.
Failing that, would you have a suggestion or two for where I could get appropriate critique on my work?
To demonstrate, this is what I'm working on now:
Ideally, this will form the basis for a couple of football/soccer players with modular customisation, ala Skankzero. I've tried to keep the topology mostly quad-based (with the exception of elbows and knees, for which I've used
Ancient Pig's joints. I've also tried to keep an eye on loops for deformation, though I've ended up with some six-sided poles on the head.
Happy to move the above paragraph if I get some direction. Thanks,

You'll want to make your own thread in 3D Pimping and Previews. There are plenty of existing example threads in there.
@m4dcow: Would love to put my work in the Low Poly thread (maaan, dat thread) but I think (if memory serves) that my polycount is above the ~800 level and I like the focus they've got going on there. Might drop it in when I can open my file and check the count.
Cheers, both of you!
