Sci-fi marine - Character WIP

Hey guys

The latest character I have been working on.

These are ZBrush BPR renders, I plan on taking this through to game res. I wanted a very fabric heavy, 1970s feel to the design.

Feedback and comments are welcome.

    Good lord your attention to detail is amazing. Did you use Marvelous Designer for the cloth or did you just sculpt it by hand? Either way, it's incredible.

    The only thing that I really bothers me is the loose fabric (specifically the pockets) and belts. Judging by the breathing apparatus, he's probably going to be operating in outer-space, in which case everything in those pockets would just float out. I'm also not a big fan of the loose fabric that goes around the boot area and the random belts running down his legs. Everything from the chest up seems more or less practical while from the waist down its kind of confusing. Amazing work though!

    This looks great, like already stated the detail is pretty damn impressive. The only thing that really really bothers me about the character is the shin pad design. I can't tell what the purpose of it is, it certainly isn't protection for impact since it's so loose and thin that it seems to be falling off.

    So basically the shinpad, backpack, and some of the pockets just seem too thin of a material to be what I would consider useful protection and are not consistent with the overall material of the suit.
