UE4: No Man's Sky - Oria V

I've never been one for fanart or breakdown pics but I guess I'll give it a shot! I'll be recreating the first planet from the No Man's Sky demo in UE4. For a reasonable start, I'll just be tackling the environment first but hopefully I'll have enough steam to make the creatures as well. FYI the planet's name is Oria V.

these last two are only briefly glimpsed, I only noticed them on Oria V just now while scrubbing through the trailer

and of coarse, orange grass!

Ground textures seem pretty simple, sand and orange/red undergrowth for the grass and a rocky surface for the mountain.

My first steps for this week will be terrain textures & grass along with getting familiar with the Unreal Engine. I haven't really done anything significant inside the engine since a sewer scene I put together in UT2K4. Workflows have changed a bit since then.

ps: I don't consider this cheating on my zbrush thread since I'll be using Zbrush for this.
