This is my chair.

So i wanted to practice my textures and i thought a good way to do this was to model something around me ( so i have all the assets to do the work). So i modeled my chair i use at my desk :)

It isn't 1:1 of course (because i'm lazy) but i think it's close enough. The quality of the seat compared to the rest is quite mediocre sadly x)

So there we go constructive criticism please :)

I mainly did this because the feedback on my Corinthian helmet textures was pretty bad so i guess i needed the practice x)

    Looks very good :D! I think that the grain wood in the normal map it's a bit too strong, but doesn't really matter as feedback since in this case it's just matter of opinions. The only problem I can spot anyway is that on the straw it's pretty clear a seam between top and below, plus there's some stretching texture. You maybe could have mirrored it to avoid the seam. About the stretching you might want to fix the UV

    The wavy back shapes are annoyingly pointy and need to be smoothed out, while you're using too many polies on the 5 spindles (They're too many sides, and personally I'd have them taper to a single vert and hide that point inside the chair legs). The shape of the waves also seems to be incorrect, you've got too much of a consistent width. The spindles are also too thin, and your rear legs seem to be circular (at the bottom) and filleted (at the top) in the reference instead of square.

    The texture of the straw is a hot mess, but you also need to tweak other bits. Like Odeca said, the wood normal is too strong. The wood grain is inconsistent in scale, and direction; always make the grain follow the length (as in the largest measurement) of the sub-object. And for something you sit on daily, you can do a lot better job of texturing damage, dirt and age.
