Hey Guys,
I just found some sites specialized about 3d body scans "characters" The "models" are looking really cool and realstic but i'm wondering if there is any way to use such a 3d scan for video games?
The characters are usually High Poly, zbrush, obj or max files.... Would it be possible to create a lower poly version of a high poly charatcter by using for example polygon cruncher and bake than the normals from the high poly to the low poly?

It's the exact same method you'd use when doing a highpoly model then baking down to the game res mesh.
So basically i can use any HP 3d scan of a human? What about the textures? the textures are for the HP Character... After shrinking the HP Character do they fit on the new LP Character with the normal map ?
You will need to bake them.
you can bake anything, normalmaps, ambient occlusion, color, texture, cavities, curvature and so on. You can transfer a hell lot of more info from your highpoly to your lowpoly
You can try our demo scan model with textures.
